Local Area Networks (LANs): These form the pillar of a company’s internal IT network structure. Should this network not have the capacity to run a client’s network traffic effectively, it will result in packet drops and instability.
Wide Area Networks (WANs): This refers to communication networks that cover a broad geographical area. The correct amount of bandwidth is required in order for different applications to function correctly over a WAN. For example, if there is not enough bandwidth, VoIP will not function satisfactorily and the caller will experience call break-ups.
